Caleryn's 3rd birthday party

This previous weekend Caleryn had her third birthday party. My mom and dad bought her a playhouse with a sandbox and of course my dad built it at the last second. While he was building that, Nanna and Papa took her to the park to play around. Which l should've gone with them because they had ice cream. Instead I played iPad. Later that night after the Hogg/Tazmanian Devil (Caleryn) went to sleep, my dad started working on the present that Nanna and Papa bought. It was a hot pink sports car; after my dad was done building it l wanted to see if I could fit my fat butt in it but I didn't. Some day I will get into it though. The next day in the afternoon my dad finished up the playhouse and the sandbox. When Caleryn first played with it she wasn't too interested in the sandbox but she liked the playhouse though. I didn't really like my sandbox when I was her age because of the texture of it, so I only got in it once or twice and that's when my mom and dad made me! Anyway Caleryn had to wait until 6pm when her friend Sabrina came over to see the rest of her presents because mother dearest said so. Now, is that mean or what! By the time that Sabrina and her parents got to our house, my mom was done with the cup cakes and I tell you what, yan can cook! Afterwards, Caleryn and Sabrina played together and it was kinda funny because Sabrina was playing so good and then there would be a huge bossy roar from Caleryn saying," Get in my room." My parents are hoping that she won't become a bully. While they were playing around, all of the adults talked a lot, especially Sabrina's dad. Anyway I think Caleryn enjoyed her birthday party and probably Sabrina did too.

P.S I call my sister a hogg because it's easier to say, rather than Caleryn. And yes, I know that I'm lazy!

Caleryn's dog, Chuy

UWhen Boots died, my mom was crying practically every other day; so me and my dad made the executive decision to buy another dog because during that time, I think both of us were the HoH. After three weeks of looking for a new dog, we found a yorkie for sale online in Houston, so my dad drove us to the place to pick up the dog. When we got there my mom didn't know that there was two of them. She was kinda bummed because she didn't want to separate them and they were brother and sister too. We picked the girl instead of the boy because the boy looked a lot like Boots and we kind of wanted something different. The girl looked like she had been starved a lot and she had a brownish goldish color fur. Later on that day, we decided to name the dog, Chuy.  Anyway, the first day she was okay. Chuy would whine every time either my mom or my dad left her but she did pretty good sleeping in the grate with my mom and dad. She has been having accidents in kitchen under the table when she comes back in from outside. Caleryn loves to play with her and carry her all over. She probably thinks Chuy has cerebral palsy because she never lets her walk on her own! My mom and dad are trying not to let her go in the rooms or get on the furniture but Caleryn keeps putting the dog on furniture so she's already getting used to jumping on chairs. I don't think that she is going to be the secondary protector like Boots was because my mom found a snake right outside the back door under my ramp and Chuy did nothing! She seems to be a fraidy-cat like Sandals used to be. But at least she's getting a taste for our food falling on the ground, so maybe she'll clean up the floor like Boots used to do. Caleryn is definitely entertained by her! Mom and dad just took her to the vet and found out she's not a full blooded yorkie (my mom already guessed that) but she's a dahtshund/yorkie mix. So she's called a dorkie!!! 🐢

The Boston Concert

Last night, my dad and I went to see Boston in concert for his Father's Day gift. This was my first real concert, although I've seen Chris Tomlin but it was really small at a church. It was pretty loud but amazingly my ears didn't ring, even when I went to sleep! Maybe, all of the times that my public school had fire drills, my ears got used to the loud noise! My dad said that his ears were ringing after we left. The next concert we're going to see is Guns and Roses in August! It's probably going to be a madhouse because the concert is going to be at NRG Stadium and the singer will probably dance more too, plus I think it will be really crazy because they haven't had a concert in forever.

The Strike Force Chair is Awesome!!! πŸ˜œπŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸŽ‰πŸŽπŸŽ―πŸ’ΊπŸ’΅♿️

The first time I practice in my new Strike Force chair, l SUCKED at driving it. I looked like l was a drunk driver because when I drove forward the chair constantly swerved left and right! But soon after practicing in it for a few days. l was sorta better at controlling it. When I first got the chair, we ordered a seat that was meant for a big guy in a little chair, like a huge man in a little chair!! I would sit on one side of the chair so that I could reach the controller. It was kinda funny looking! So we had to get them to send another seat that would fit me better.

On Wednesday, my dad took a vacation day and we drove to Burton, Tx for a powersoccer exhibition at the summer camp for kids with muscular dystrophy. It was the first time I got to really practice in the new chair. I didn't get a goal but I was really surprised that I didn't accidentally hit someone! Where we played was a pretty tight area I was always worried I might hit some legs. We got to play some of the dr.s from Texas Children's who were at the camp, but I didn't really recognize any of them. My fellow teammate Stephen gave me and my dad some really good tips and ideas to help control the chair a little better. He also told my dad how to program the chair without having to buy a programmer. There were a lot of different options that we could change. My dad tweaked it a little bit; he made the deadband for the joystick higher for my crazy/shaky arm and he bumped up the forward speed too. My dad probably needs to tweak it some more later on and test it out but he can't do that now because it keeps on raining! So far the new chair has helped a lot, especially doing spin kicks and maybe I'll get good at controlling the ball and the chair with more practice.

The JJ Watt Charity Baseball Game at Minute Maid Park

JJ Watt of The Houston Texans football team asked my power soccer team to be apart of his charity baseball game at The Astros Minute Maid Park. He's given money to our team so that we could have all uniform jerseys to play in. So he asked us if we could help him pass out programs to all the people coming to watch the game. I was paired up with Kirsten to hand out programs. I think we ended up going through 4 or 5 boxes of 500 programs. A lot of people came up to me and Kirsten talking to us and take pictures with us and a few people hugged us, most people were very nice. When we first started handing them out all l did is just smile at the people but towards the end of it l started handing out some. At the first of the game they brought First Lady Barbra Bush to the field to through out the first pitch. It was pretty cool that I got to see Barbra Bush in person. Roger Clemens, Clyde Drexler and Jeff Bagwell were coaches. The teams were the Texans offense verses the Texans defense. The guys sure could run fast! Me and my dad decided to leave early, cause we had to be there so early, but if l was to guess who won, l would pick the offense team! I think JJ Watt ended up raising a little over a million dollars that night to help other kids and teams like ours. Pretty cool night!
