Baclofin pump issuses

It all started more than a week ago when l was having a baclofen pump withdrawal. I hate when this happens because my hand and feet get all clammy and it's hard to calm down and I'm just tight all over too and very itchy. What's interesting when I had the withdrawal this time; was that I wasn't sick during it, which usually I'm sick when I have a withdraw. My mom was all weirded out because it was happening AGAIN. I also just got a bump up the day before and an X-ray and blood taken when I went in for a refill from Dr. Dy but after four hours or so, I wasn't calming down and getting looser, so my mom gave me some baclofen pills.  The next day my mom decided to take me to the E.R for a CT with dye scan to look if there's any issues with the baclofen pump. I was still drowsy from the oral baclofen pills when we got to the E.R. Anyway some of the doctors and nurses knew me there. The doctors wanted to put an iv on my right arm to take more blood out of me to see if there's baclofen even flowing through my body. Which there was baclofen in my blood. The worst part about taking blood this time, was the placement of the iv. The iv was in my right forearm and I couldn't bend it and when I did bend my arm, it would hurt. But that wasn't the worst part of whole trip to Houston; the worst part was when I went to do the cat scan with dye because the doctors couldn't figure out where was the entrance of my baclofen pump was at! So they kept poking me and to make it worse I was already tender because of the pump refill. Eventually the doctors asked for help from Dr. Curry's (the doctor who put my pump in) assistants to figure it out and they did. Before I went home, the nurse told me that I had to pee, which took me forever before I was finally able to go, because I was starving in Er all day. For some reason I always take forever to go to the bathroom in the hospital. My mom noticed that I eat faster and eat more too and I'm typing faster after I got discharged. I'm about as fast as my mom. Anyway that whole trip was an experience and painful. Now I am feeling a lot better. Sorry, no pictures!

Finally starting back on horseback riding

'I am finally doing horseback riding again! It took a year to switch horseback riding places because I was on a full wait list. My parents wanted to switch places because l had the tendon lengthening surgery and its closer to home. My mom and dad also like the new place because they have lots of comfortable chairs there and toys for Caleryn and its a covered arena. The first time that I rode the horse, my legs stretched hard. In fact after horseback riding, l had physical therapy and Alan (my physical therapist) noticed that my knees were spread apart while I was walking. I think that the instructor is going to be tough once I get back in gear. I'm glad I get to horseback ride again and it's nice to be able to try a new place. I think Caleryn really likes it too because she cries everytime we have to leave.

Lowering the dosage of my seizure medicine

I had a neurologist appointment with Dr. Zeller (the best doctor on Earth), which is a yearly visit. Except for this time Dr. Zeller wanted to lower the dose of Zonisamide to two pills instead of three since I havent had a seizure in years. He said that I need to try out only two pills for a month then if that's successfully accomplished without having a seizure, go ahead and take one pill for the next month and eventually l won't have to take pills anymore hopefully! So far I've been taking two pills for three weeks and I haven't had a seizure yet but, I seem to be having more leg movements in the mornings though. Hopefully this works!

Christmas, 2015

This year, Christmas has been pretty much dumbed down by all of the back to back sickness this whole December! First, Caleryn got sick from our cousins, then dad caught it then spread it to me and mom. Then because I got sick, I started having baclofen pump problems which causes a lot of complications and I have to go in and get a pump bump-up. As soon as we all started getting better, then Caleryn catches hand, foot and mouth disease from her pre-school. Which l got now! Anyway on Christmas Eve, my mom wanted to go ahead and unwrap the presents then but, my dad dissagreed. Of course it didn't really matter if he dissagreed because this Christmas my mom was the HoH (Head of Household) of the house. The items l got for this year is a Playstation 4, a humongous Playstation 3/Playstation 4 remote that works mainly on fighting games, two drum pedals and an iPad holder for the bed although, it was not really sturdy enough so my dad took it back to Fry's. Me and my dad also looked for some games there but there wasn't a big portion of games there. So we went Game Stop and bought four or five games. Also, l got a huge donation from Nana and Papa too. Anyway, all in all this Christmas has been okay even though we were all sick all December, which sucked.

Our annual "Christmas Story" play

The Christmas Story play was good. The only thing that I didn't like about it was all the singing, but Caleryn loved the singing and dancing. It was pretty true to the movie which was cool. There was this really nice lady who helped us get to our seats and she started talking to me a lot because she has trouble writing with her hands and even talking sometimes. She even told me and my mom all about this Botox she gets put into her neck to help her communicate better. Now I've had Botox in my legs when I was little but we had never heard of Botox in vocal chords. I wonder if it would help me out?  Anyway she was super nice and she made our evening quite enjoyable! So Kay Mathews if you read this, this is my shout out to you...Hi! We then drove to a neighborhood known for their Christmas light displays and saw that, so we had a fun night!

My homeschool tutor Lindsey

For the past three years Lindsey has been my tutor and this Christmas she got tired of working and quit! Just joking, she's almost done with college but she has one semester left to cram a bunch of classes in before she graduates. I bet Boots will miss her because she would always feed Boots as soon as she got to our house, if my mom didn't feed him yet. I think I will miss her too, sometimes she would push me to study more. She would make me go outside more even though there's not much for me to do when Caleryn would go to the park. She would sometimes go on a field trip with me. Before she left on her trip to Dubai, my mom realized that we had never taken a picture of her so here is our one and only picture of Lindsey. Happy Trails!!!

GoFundMe/on the news

I started a GoFundMe account so I can start the process in getting a Strike Force Power Chair. I have been playing power soccer for a year and a half now and l'm starting to really like it but my power chair now is slow, especially when I try to do a spin kick. This is why I want the chair, it has more power when the ball is hit because its so low to the ground and its faster too. I am also trying to get a sport grant to help with partial pay but I won't know if it was accepted until April. This chair is a lot of money at $8500! It will allow me to actually compete against the other teams. Our team is starting to get recognized around town in fact, our whole team was on the news a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, I made two goals that day and neither one of them made the news which kinda sucked. My dad is in the background trying to hog the spotlight, of course!
